Unfolding Ten: The Geometry of Time is conceived as an exhibition that explores time not as a narrative to be told, but as a structure to be experienced. Bringing together works that engage with duration, repetition, rupture, and transformation, the exhibition unfolds across the gallery space as a sequence of temporal encounters.
Rather than marking ten years as an endpoint, Unfolding Ten treats the number as a curatorial framework — a geometry through which artistic practices intersect and diverge. The exhibition proposes time as layered and spatial: something that can be folded, paused, stretched, or fragmented through material, gesture, and concept.
The works presented move between abstraction and figuration, material density and conceptual precision, intimacy and collective memory. Some artists approach time through labor-intensive processes and repetition; others through displacement, archival traces, or the body as a temporal vessel. Together, the exhibition forms a dynamic field in which multiple temporalities coexist.
Central to the exhibition is an emphasis on attentiveness. Several works invite slowed perception, close looking, and forms of listening — not only to sound, but to surface, texture, and absence. This creates a rhythm within the exhibition that resists immediacy and encourages sustained engagement.
The participating artists: Axel Pahlavi, Tarek Shabout, Eileen Cohen Sussholz, Wendy Krochmal, Hamdan Saray, Gil & Moti, Salam Ata Sabri, Khouzayma Alwani, Mohammad Barrangi, Mohammad Skandari, Naima Aouni, Mahsa Tehrani, Tina Sookazi, Maryam Salahi, Efrat Zehavi, Diane Marie Uwase, Sara Rahanjam, and Reza Azimian — bring together diverse artistic languages shaped by different geographies and lived experiences. Their works create points of tension, resonance, and dialogue rather than a single narrative.
Unfolding Ten: The Geometry of Time is not a retrospective, but an active exhibition that unfolds through movement, encounter, and duration — mirroring the gallery itself as a space continuously shaped by the present.
